Tiger Cub Kindy & Tiger Island Renovation Update – Dreamworld

One of this year’s big updates at Dreamworld will see Tiger Island renovated into the 21st century (considering it was first opened in 1996, the saying actually rings true) with a stadium seating (finally) and a bunch of neat new additions that I hope will make Tiger Island more interesting to visit. I’m personally a big fan of Tiger Island and the people behind it. I’m not one of these “anti-Sea World” “Blackfish rulz” folk that watch one film and think they’ve got a complete reader’s digest’s knowledge of how animals in captivity are treated. The fact that Dreamworld’s team put so much effort into actively conserving tiger populations overseas while proactively help expand the population and educate here at home should earn them a lot of respect from guests who get to visit.

Rant aside, while Tiger Island is being renovated, Dreamworld has taken the opportunity to show off their two new sets of Tiger cubs (two of which are still in quarantine but still on display in a seperate space) and have built a temporary “Tiger Cub Kindy” next to Tailspin for guests to still enjoy some paws on action.

Here's some signage, because everyone loves a sign.

Classy temp signage is classy.

It's honestly really awesome being able to see these two fur babies up close just casually doing their thing.

On a scale of one to closed, i'm going to say "definitely closed."

And finally we'll end on this cool billboard out the front of the park. It's a really solid picture. I like it. Kudos to the photographer who took that shot.
